Ali Rathore is the Chief Executive Officer of Engro Fertilizers. After joining Engro Corporation in 2022, he was appointed as the Chief Financial Officer of Engro Fertilizers in September 2023, based on his strong strategic and business acumen.
Ali has over 26 years of international experience spanning across the USA, UK, Australia, and MENA region, working in Financial Planning & Analysis, Business Development, Operations and M&A. Ali is a seasoned executive with a diverse background across multiple industries, including Oil & Gas, Chemicals, and Telecoms.
Renowned for his strategic vision and marketing acumen, Ali has been a driving force behind numerous groundbreaking projects, providing invaluable support to rapidly growing industries and championing talent development along the way.

Muhammad Imran Khalil is a Chartered Accountant by profession and holds over 25 years of diverse experience in a variety of senior positions across Pakistan’s corporate sector. Imran began his career in Finance as a trainee at Deloitte and has since gained extensive experience that spans across multiple industries. He is a seasoned finance professional with experience in large scale digital transformation, risk management and project management. He possesses an impressive track record of delivering results by establishing cross functional partnerships, harnessing organizational change management, and driving shared services and team management.
He has been associated with Engro for over a decade and has served in various senior roles including Head of Audit at Engro Foods, now FrieslandCampina, and Chief Financial Officer at Engro Polymers. He played a critical role in the successful turnaround of Engro Polymers, helping the Company navigate financial challenges and make its way to being one of the most profitable entities of the Engro Conglomerate. He also led Pakistan’s largest SAP transformation program with implementation across all the Engro subsidiaries. His display of exceptional leadership and change management earned him recognition and multiple awards from SAP global. Most recently, he served as Vice President Finance at Engro Corporation, managing Governance & Risk, Shared Services and Accounting for both Engro Corp and the group.
Imran is currently serving as Chief Financial Officer of Engro Fertilizers Limited, where his spearheading of the financial agenda is integral to ENabling GROwth and fostering success for the Company.

Atif is a seasoned professional with a diverse career spanning over a decade in the corporate world. He commenced his journey with Engro Foods in 2007, embarking on a seven-year tenure that showcased his versatility and leadership. Throughout his tenure at Engro Foods, Atif adeptly navigated through various roles, encompassing IT, Finance, Supply Chain, and Business Development. His exceptional contributions were pivotal in delivering transformative business initiatives, driving operational efficiency, and fostering business growth. Some notable achievements include the establishment of the Engro Milk Automation Network, orchestrating the turnaround of the ice cream business, and piloting Pasteurized Milk and Meat Business.
In a subsequent phase of his career, Atif transitioned into the energy sector. His roles in Commercial and General Management at Sindh Engro Coal Mining Company(SECMC),Engro Energy Limited( EEL), and Engro PowerGen Qadirpur( EPQL) underscored his ability to lead, innovate, and execute complex projects. Atif was instrumental in securing a financing deal of USD 1 billion under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) for an integrated coal mine and power plant project. Additionally, he negotiated mine expansion EPC agreements, coal supply contracts, fostered relationships with local community, and spearheaded vertical transition into renewable energy. His last role in Energy Vertical was Deputy CEO of EPQL.
In 2020, Atif was entrusted with a pivotal role of centralizing and transforming procurement operations. Under his stewardship, procurement processes underwent a transformation, leveraging cutting-edge S2C and P2P tools for automation. The outcomes where reduced supplier risk and heightened operational efficiency. Under Atif's strategic guidance, CPF now adeptly manages an annual expenditure exceeding PKR 45 billion and has generated remarkable cost savings of over PKR 4 billion for the Group since its inception.
Atif serves as a member of the board of directors for Engro Enfrashare. He holds an engineering degree and a master's degree in management from Queen Mary University of London.

Aneeq Ahmed has recently joined Engro Fertilizers as the Vice President Manufacturing. Aneeq's professional journey began at Engro Polymer & Chemicals Limited as a Graduate Trainee Engineer in 2001. Over the span of two decades, he held various key positions in Operations, Maintenance, Expansion Projects, Supply Chain, and Commercial. He played an instrumental role in all major expansions at EPCL, including the relocation of the VCM plant from the US, debottlenecking of PVC plants, and other significant initiatives. His expertise and leadership were crucial in ensuring the success of these projects at EPCL.
In his last role as Chief Operating Officer, he was responsible for Pakistan's first bulk chemical handling and storage facility, Engro Vopak Terminal, and the Country's first LNG terminal, Engro Elengy Terminal Limited. He played a key role in maintaining the Country's critical energy and chemical supply chain by demonstrating strong leadership, driving operational safety, and achieving technical excellence.
His major contributions include achieving 26 years of continuous safe operations without a single Lost Time Injury (LTI) by consistently upholding safety standards and maintaining a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 100 through proactive customer engagement. This dedication earned the Engro Vopak Terminal Limited the prestigious Royal Vopak Global Service Award among 78 terminals.
Aneeq holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from N.E.D University of Engineering and Technology and a master’s degree in business administration from the Institute of Business Administration.

Nazia Ali is a seasoned executive with over 20 years of experience in the Banking and Financial Payments industries, having worked with some of the most prestigious blue-chip organizations. A graduate of Bahria University with a bachelor’s in business administration, she began her career in 2003 and has since built an impressive track record of success.
Nazia spent 15 transformative years at United Bank Limited, where she held several leadership roles across a wide range of functions, including Organizational Change Management, Stakeholder Relations, Strategic Project Implementation, Digital Strategy Execution, and FinTech Product Management. Her hands-on leadership in areas like Alternate Distribution Channels and Branch Banking further showcases her versatility and deep industry knowledge.
Today, as the Head of Digital Transformation at Engro Fertilizers Limited, Nazia is spearheading the company's digital transformation journey. She is driving innovation, leading key strategic initiatives to streamline operations, and significantly enhancing customer experiences. Farrukh Saeed Khan is the Head of HR and Communications at Engro Fertilizers. Previously, he held the position of Head of Human Resources, MarCom, and Administration, where he was responsible for leading the company’s HR strategy and development across Engro Energy Limited (EEL) subsidiaries, including Sindh Engro Coal Mining Company (SECMC), Engro Powergen Thar Limited (EPTL), and Engro Powergen Qadirpur Limited (EPQL).
With 20 years of experience in HR strategy, talent management, and organizational development, he has built a reputation for driving people-centric transformations across leading organizations. Farrukh served as the Head of Talent & Culture at Pak Arab Refinery Limited (PARCO), where he led the HR Centre of Expertise, overseeing Organizational Development, Talent Acquisition, Learning, and Rewards. He has also served in leadership roles at Lucky Motor Corporation Limited and National Foods Limited.
He holds an MBA in Finance from Hamdard University and is a certified Hay Job Evaluator and Executive Coach.

Kalim has diverse professional experience of 30+ years in internal auditing, enterprise risk management, and audit quality assurance, while working at Majid Al-Futtaim group in the UAE and at other leading global organizations (Carrefour, KPMG, Citibank, Philips & Shell); he subsequently joined Engro in 2019 at Polymers & Chemicals as Head of Internal Audit and moved to Engro Fertilizers in July 2025. He holds an MBA degree from IBA Karachi and an engineering degree from NED, in addition to professional certifications in auditing, GRC, IT & behavioural sciences.
At Engro, he performed value-added audit reviews by identifying opportunities that led to enhanced controls. He initiated reviews of Plant/technical & HSE compliance domains and shared-services, and introduced an effective audit follow-up mechanism. Kalim actively participated in 1SAP business process reengineering committee representing internal audit function and chaired its sub-committee on system controls & QA. He also facilitated control group forums at EPCL divisions to enhance controls awareness via interactive sessions and provided technical advice and consultation to audit teams at other Engro subsidiaries, especially the ECorp IT audit function.
Kalim had the unique opportunity to perform diversified assignments across all the businesses & functions due to his analytical capabilities and business process knowledge. In his prior organizations, he repositioned Internal Audit (IA) role as “strategic & business partner”, introduced advanced analytics and integrated performance reports for audit committees, and implemented IA quality assurance & improvement program, followed by conformance to IIA-USA standards. He also developed management surveys for risk assessment, audit planning & audit services feedback, and implemented audit workflow automation platforms to enhance the effectiveness & efficiency of audit function.

Mr. Mohammad Younus Dagha is a career Civil Servant who joined Pakistan Administrative Service in 1985. He possesses varied experience in the fields of Energy, Finance, Commerce, Trade Diplomacy and Public Administration. He holds graduate and post graduate degrees in Business Administration, Economics, Law and Commerce equipping him with the required academic background to manage multifaceted assignments in his career.
During his career spanning over 34 years, he successfully handled many challenging assignments. From being an Administrator at various tiers in the Provinces of Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan to Project Director in mega projects. He successfully handled many important assignments as Federal Secretary for the important portfolios of Finance, Commerce & Water and Power.
Mr. Dagha assisted the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI) in establishing a policy research unit, in his capacity as the Chairman of Policy Advisory Board during 2021-2024. Now he has established an independent think-tank with the name of Policy Research and Advocacy Council (PRAC). The competent experts PRAC have contributed in several policy advocacy papers/briefs prepared in consultation with the academia, civil society and the stakeholders on various aspects of the economy from Monetary & Fiscal policies to Trade, Investment, Energy & Agricultural sectors. The research team of PRAC also assisted the Ministry of Commerce in preparing for its trade agreement negotiations such as GCC, Indonesia and Malaysia.
Mr. Mohammad Younus Dagha also remained part of the Caretaker Government of Sindh as Minister for Finance, Revenue, Industries and Commerce and introduced e-Services and e-Registration in the Industries and Revenue departments.

Rizwan has over 37 years of industrial experience. mainly working in the chemicals and refining sectors. More recently, he played a central role in the downstream transformation at ADNOC with the establishment of new JVs for refining and fertilizers, establishing new production platforms domestically and in key markets like China and Germany.
His current role as a secondee to MOIAT focuses on investor attraction to the UAE where he works with key state industrial stakeholders, banks and financial institutions both on the policy side as well as for global outreach.
Prior to joining ADNOC in 2017, he was instrumental in establishing the downstream business for Saudi Aramco – in the 12 years there, he successfully led the development of Sadara, two export refineries in Saudi Arabia, two integrated refining and petrochemical projects in China worth over $20B.
His diversity of commercial and technical acumen stems from gathering multi-industry, multi-client experience across a wide geography working as a consultant for 5 years at a globally recognized firm. He has also served as member of various leadership committees in ADNOC and Saudi Aramco.
Rizwan holds Masters degrees in Applied Chemistry and Business Administration.

Sadia Khan was appointed Commissioner, Securities & Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) by the Federal Government for a three-year term in March 2020. She was the first female to hold this post. Prior to that, she has served as the President & CEO of the Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance (PICG).
Sadia has pursued a versatile career path traversing investment banking, development finance, financial regulation, family businesses and entrepreneurship across three continents. With master’s degrees in economics from both Cambridge University and Yale University, Sadia started her career at Lehman Brothers in New York. After obtaining her MBA from INSEAD in France, she has worked with various international institutions and local regulatory authorities, including the Asian Development Bank in the Philippines, the Securities & Exchange Commission of Pakistan and the State Bank of Pakistan. For the past two decades, Sadia has remained a passionate advocate of corporate governance and has served on various boards as an independent director. Her book entitled “Corporate Governance Landscape of Pakistan” was published by Oxford University Press in 2017.
In 2014, the French Government conferred on her, the prestigious French award, “Chevalier de l’Ordre National du Mérite” (Knight of the National Order of Merit). Ms. Khan served as the Honorary Consul General of Finland in Karachi during 2012-2020. Her leadership and strategic management skills were recognized in a Case Study published by INSEAD in 2021, on her tenure as the Global President of the INSEAD Alumni Association. She was recognized by the International Directors Network (IDN) for excellence in governance as the first recipient of their Good Governance Award in 2021. She was awarded the Volunteer Leaders Award by INSEAD during the Alumni Forum in London in March 2023.
Sadia is currently based in Dubai, U.A.E where she is pursuing a portfolio career as an educator and practitioner of corporate governance, focused on sustainability.

Farooq Barkat Ali is the Chief Financial Officer at Engro Corporation Limited. Previously, he has served as the Chief Financial Officer at Engro Fertilizers, and Engro Energy Limited (EEL). Farooq has also served as Vice President - Finance at Engro Corporation and Chief Financial Officer at Engro Powergen Qadirpur and Engro Eximp Pvt Limited.
As CFO at Engro Energy, Farooq looked after various aspects of the business including Performance Management of EEL subsidiaries, Treasury & Investor Relations, and financial oversight of all entities under the Energy vertical.
He serves on the Board of Engro Fertilizers Limited, Engro Enfrashare (Pvt.) Limited, Engro Infiniti (Pvt.) Limited, Thermal Vision (Pvt.) Limited, Engro Connect (Pvt.) Farooq carries around two decades of experience in various Finance and Commercial roles. He started his career with Reckitt Benckiser in 2002 and then moved to Shell Pakistan in 2007, before joining the Engro Group in 2013. During his career, Farooq has managed multiple projects including the financing of mega projects, ERP implementations, and mergers & acquisitions.
Farooq is a Chartered Accountant by profession from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) and has also been previously associated with Pricewaterhouse Coopers (PwC) in Karachi.

Asad Said Jafar, has held the position of Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors at Signify Pakistan Limited (formerly Philips Pakistan Limited) since 2009. Prior to this, he was Director Supply Chain, for Philips Lighting ASEAN from 2006 to 2008. Asad has extensive manufacturing, supply chain, business excellence and general management experience and has held various leadership roles at Philips including overseas expatriate postings to Indonesia, Thailand and Singapore from 2001 to 2008. Asad joined Philips in 1998 as Supply Chain Manager at Philips Pakistan Limited.He has driven the transformation and revitalization of the Philips business in Pakistan to become a focused lighting technology company offering a complete range of conventional and LED lighting solutions including its connected lighting systems and data-enabled services, design services and turnkey solutions. He has also steered the transition of the company from Philips to Signify in Pakistan.Before Philips, Asad worked at ICI Pakistan Limited from 1988 to 1996, joining them as a Management Trainee and gaining experience of projects, plant maintenance, design and engineering planning before leaving the company to pursue an MBA degree.Asad served as the President of Overseas Investors Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OICCI) in 2014 and as its Vice President in 2013. He is currently serving on the Board of Directors of Engro Fertilizers Limited. Previously he has served on the Board of Directors of Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance (PICG) and Engro Polymer & Chemicals Limited and has been a member of the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) Corporate Leaders Advisory Board (ICLAB). He also serves as the member of International Advisory Board at NED University of Engineering and Technology. He participates regularly in Karachi School of Business & Leadership’s CEO mentorship program.Asad holds an Electrical Engineering (BE) degree from the NED University of Engineering & Technology and a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the Imperial College Business School, London, UK where he studied as a Chevening scholar. Asad has completed several management development programs including the ‘Leading a Business’ program at Ashridge Business School, UK. He attended the ‘Philips Simplicity Brand 1000’programme at the Chicago Graduate School of Business (London campus) as well as the ‘Business Marketing Strategy’ program at Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, USA. He is often invited to address business professionals and student audiences at corporate and academic events.

Ahsan Zafar Syed is the 5th President and CEO of Engro Corporation and the 7th Chief of Engro since the exit of Exxon. Today, Engro is one of Pakistan’s largest conglomerates, with a business portfolio spanning across four verticals including petrochemicals, energy, telecommunication infrastructure and food & agriculture, and a steadfast commitment to helping solve some of the country’s most pressing issues.
Ahsan began his journey with Engro in 1991 as a young engineer, accumulating three decades of experience in operations, project management, and strategic leadership across the petrochemical, energy, and food & agriculture sectors. He is regarded as a mettle of Engro and has achieved significant milestones for the Company; he was the driving force behind the $1.1 billion fertilizer expansion project and played a pivotal role in executing the $2 billion Thar dream, aimed at indigenizing energy for Pakistan. Ahsan’s journey is synonymous with Engro’s enduring legacy and is a testament to Engro’s robust organizational prowess, serving as a source of inspiration for aspiring young graduates in the wider industry.
Before his appointment as President and CEO of Engro Corporation, Ahsan led Engro’s flagship fertilizer business. Under his leadership, Engro Fertilizers became the most valuable fertilizer company on the Pakistan Stock Exchange. The increase in valuation is attributable to portfolio optimization where the company divested low return noncore businesses, improved market positioning of Engro urea, scaled up specialty fertilizers, enhanced digital presence to better serve the farmers, and completed one of the largest turnaround activities at the Plant site focused on driving efficiencies and debottlenecking urea capacity. In his earlier role in the Company, Ahsan led the construction of the $1.1 billion Enven Plant, a milestone achievement for Engro and one of the largest projects completed in Pakistan.
During his tenure as CEO of the Energy vertical, Ahsan played a pivotal role in realizing Pakistan’s Thar dream by unearthing indigenous coal and operationalizing a 660MW power plant at mine mouth. This project has been instrumental for Pakistan’s energy security, achieving import substitution of $1.5 billion till date and providing electricity to 9 million people annually.
In recognition of his engineering contributions to Pakistan, Ahsan was awarded the prestigious “National Engineering Excellence Award” by the Institution of Engineers Pakistan in 2024. He has also rendered his honorary services to Engineering Development Board, entity under Ministry of Industries & Production, Pakistan, entrusted to strengthen engineering base in the Country.
Ahsan is an alumnus of NED Karachi and Manhattan College New York, USA. Additionally, he has attended advanced management program at INSEAD in France

Ahmad Shakoor is Vice President at Engro Corporation and brings with him 30 years of operations, engineering, project development, business development and HSE / Technical Governance experience.
In his current role as head of Engro Corporation central technical division, Ahmad implemented several important Governance initiatives in the HSE and Engineering domain including complete transformation of Engro’s HSE management system to a Risk based approach, development and issuance of Corporate HSE standards, transformation of HSE audit regime, Development and implementation of stage gate system for project development, introduction of best in class engineering practices and development of large scale projects for the conglomerate.
In his previous role with Engro Fertilizers, Ahmad has played an important role in all the major capacity expansion projects undertaken by Engro Fertilizers Manufacturing division including serving the US $ 1.1 Billion Enven project in the capacity of Engineering Manager where a very unique and cost effective engineering approach was deployed using in-house capability which resulted in considerable reduction in the overall project cost. He also led Engro Fertilizer’s international business development resulting in identification and evaluation of multiple International opportunities for Engro.
